We are delighted that Paul Caruana Galizia, Head of Quantitative Research at the Legatum Institute, will be delivering a unique guest lecture on the measurements of global prosperity on Thursday, 13 October.
The Legatum Institute is an international think tank and educational charity focused on promoting prosperity. Made up of a community of scholars, researchers and supporters, the Institute engages in empirical research, open debate, education and real world demonstration in order to influence public attitudes and public policy and to chart a path towards a just and prosperous world. The long-term goal is to transform individual lives and change the global political discourse from a discussion of ‘Who is getting what’ towards a vision of ‘Who we become’ as a society.
Paul’s lecture will focus primarily on the Legatum Prosperity Index, the Institute’s signature publication, which provides a lens through which to view a comprehensive assessment of national success. Grounded in an understanding that prosperity is not just the accumulation of material wealth, but also includes the joy of everyday life and the prospect of a better future, the index offers a unique insight into how prosperity is forming and changing across the world.
